Cosmobiology is a scientific discipline concerned with the possible correlations between cosmos and organic life, and the effect of cosmic rhythms and stellar motion on man, with all his potentials and dispositions, his character, and the possible turns of fate; it also researches these correlations and effects as mirrored by the earth's plant and animal life as a whole. In this endeavour, cosmobiology uses modern day methods of scientific research. such as statistics, analysis and computer programming.

Ancient civilizations have known for millenia that the cosmos affects life on earth. Nearly every major culture has developed a system for determining how the cosmos and the earth's relationship with it will affect their people, their crops and many other things besides. Unfortunately the study of the effect of the cosmos upon life on earth has been much maligned in modern times largely due to how this study, which is commonly known as astrology, is portrayed in the media. Daily horoscopes published in many newspapers and magazines continue to discredit astrology by portraying it as something mystical, or that only those with so called psychic talent can use. The roots of cosmobiology are in astrology, however the two disciplines are quite different. Astrology remains as a discipline that is steeped in superstition and often requires practitioners to rely on belief or faith. Little critical analysis is required. Often you will find practitioners portraying themselves as other worldly, for instance Mystic Meg, Athena Starwoman and so on. Cosmobiology in contrast relies on scientific analysis, statistics and ability to repeat results. Generally it takes a good critical mind to learn and practice cosmobiology.
Cosmobiology was developed during the early part of the 20th century in Germany, so it has been around for a while. However even with it having a solid foundation of knowledge few astrologers have taken up study of the science, preferring to continue using old, outdated techniques. There is very little information on the internet about what cosmobiology is and how it is used.
